Evolution of JA's Drawing Skills (1994-2015)

  Here's the picture showing the spotlights of how my drawing styles have changed over time. Hopefully, it will inspired many struggling novice drawers to keep drawing since it takes many years to be good at drawing.

Energeia is still one of my first OCs even she was once "Liselle" in the comics I drew for High School art classes. "Liselle" was inspired by a little blonde girl who used to follow me around at a camp for deaf.
   Then Energeia with her wings came to me in my dream and here she is as a "Sailor Energy" mascot of my old but still working TRSE website (www.sailorenergy.net (it still have Sailor Moon fanwork archives in it)

  Many artists would find it embarrassing to look back at their older drawings, but I find it fun and enjoyable to see how much I have improved. ^_^ I'm expecting my drawing style to change a very little from now and drawing webcomics is my only means of practice.

 Anyone may have noticed a sharp reduction in the size of eyes. That was when I was asked to draw Lady Gage in my style and I got spooked by a picture of her using some special eye contacts to make her eyes seem huge. The babies with big eyes are cute, but real women with big eyes are scary.
    It's kind funny how during my School years, I moved toward a realistic style then Sailor Moon came along and I found myself moving to a full anime style.  Now I'm sort of going back to more realistic style resulting in a hybrid of realism and anime styles.

Akosmia: "Hey, Old Man!"
