Finally! TRSE Update

Journal Entry: Sat Jul 5, 2008, 8:14 PM
Finally, I got back online! That is one of the rare times when it sucks to be a deaf person. The internet connection was cut off for few days and I have no way of using this evil thing they call "telephone" to inform the server host of the problem with the line. It took a while before they realized that something is wrong and got it fixed.
I have 14 fanarts waiting to be colored, but I got last-minute notice coming from the guys in charge of The "Wonderful World of Agates" show in Wisconsin that I have to get everything ready for that convention. It's a very important geology business for me so I have to focus on that. I won't be doing anything for my website until after that convention except for Sprite requests and sketching of the 7th chapter of my Pacificators manga. :work:
Oh yeah, I finished the 6th chapter of Pacificators manga that I tried to update to my website on July 1st. ^^;
If anyone are curious about this agate show, anyone can go there by clicking on this [link] Look for my name under "Dealers". :)

TRSE Update

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 21, 2008, 8:14 PM
Just another update made to my website. :aww: More Kawaii Sprites from Kayari and few really nice "Happy 9th" Cards. :D

Oh, there seems to be some problems with voting process. Have anyone sent me any votes? I always send "Thank you" messages after getting the votes. Anyone didn't get that "Thank You" message? If you didn't get that one, it may mean that the vote didn't get to me. I had eight cases of lost votes. :/ It's as if there's a virtual black hole that got a little to close to my mailbox. ^^;

TRSE Upate

Journal Entry: Thu Jun 12, 2008, 6:55 PM
Well, there were actually a couple of TRSE updates where I have been posting new Non-Anime Kawaii sprites to my galleries and adding some more fanarts (and couple of sketches to the scarps) to this gallery.
I finally got enough votes to break up the ties and end the contest. I already posted the results in my website. Congradulations to every artists who got the votes and big thanks to them too! :) I'm actually wondering if I would get more votes if I use automated poll like one I posted a while ago? The problem with that poll is that it costs money to use more advanced type of poll and there's higher risk of cheating (multiple votes from same person). :/
I have to admit that the contest didn't go smoothly where I had lost few entries by accident (corrupted or just diappeared). That happened to some of my fanarts too that I had to rescan them. ^^; Some artists didn't read the rules correctly and send me wrong entries. ^^; My apologies for inconvienting those artists. Well, the big question is this: Should I host another contest soon and what sort of prizes? :/

Need more votes for the contest!

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 7, 2008, 6:30 PM
The voting for the TRSE contest is coming to close, but I'm not getting enough votes to break up some ties. ^^; I ask anyone to please come over to my website and cast your votes.
Oh, have anyone got TRSE newsletter from me at all? I did not seem to get one myself even I sent it out.
:? Could they have been filtered out as Spam?

Thanks!

9th year of TRSE update

Journal Entry: Sun Jun 1, 2008, 1:06 PM
Well, 9th year had passed since June 1999 when TRSE was just "another sailor moon fansite" and so much have changed ever since. I' still sticking with old-fashioned website layout, then again, that might be a good thing. There are some new things I would like to try like PHP but no time to do that because of my geology jobs. ^^;
As usual, I finished another chapter for Pacificators and after some discussion with Digilee, I decided to open a Kawaii Sprite gallery for Non-Anime shows like Winx Club. I can't take the requests for those kind of shows, but Digilee may be able to do such requests. I hope that will help bring more traiffic to my website (and hopefully get more readers for my mangas). I also post some stuff from other artists there too.
9 years... I wonder how many fans who already have entered (or graduated) from any universities... Many people I used to chat with have disappeared once they have graduated and I'm not surprised by that. I'm grateful for my geology job that helped me stay connected and keep my website going. :aww:

Speaking of original mangas, is it me or does it seem that many people with dreams of becoming manga-artists (or writers) are having quite a tough time? I recently listened to one gripping about that. I have seen some American-made mangas in bookstores, but they seem to be almost buried by so much mangas from Japan. I have read some of them and they're pretty good, then again, the mangas got popular through TV shows...^^; I suggest anyone to read this journal by Rose74, author of Sailor Sirius fanfics this: [link] :) She's trying to get commissions for her original stories.

Anyway, anyone may have seen how much I have drawn over 9 years, but if there are anything I'm missing or would like me to draw something, please tell me. :) Akosmia just banged on my head saying that I have drawn the Chibis with angel wings, and I should go with bat-like wings too. How about Black Lady with bat-like wings.. ;)
=

Hope to see you people in June 2009, the 10th year.
